Meet Our Attorneys

Connis O. Brown, III Partner

Mr. Brown spent the first 15 years of his practice at two large Florida law firms doing only litigation and litigated and tried a number of major cases involving wrongful deaths, aircraft crashes, train wrecks, industrial accidents, business and real estate disputes, commercial evictions, commercial foreclosures, employment claims, and intellectual property claims in both jury and bench trials. He also briefed and argued appeals in those areas in both state and federal court, some relating to cases he had tried, others in which he was first retained post-trial. After that, in 2002, he formed Brown Robert, LLP with Mr. Robert, a fellow shareholder he worked closely with at his last large firm, Gunster.

Guiding Principles

Our Philosophy

Legal representation should not be a revolving door of constantly changing lawyers and clients. We have a history of creating and maintaining long-term relationships with our clients, which has proven to benefit both parties for years to come. We believe that four of the important qualities required to be a good attorney are good character, knowledge and skill in the practice, judgment, and the willingness to work hard.

Character

Fame is a vapor, popularity an accident, riches take wing, and only character endures.
Horace Greeley, journalist and educator (1811-1872)

Knowledge and Skill

It is possible to fly without motors, but not without knowledge and skill.
Wilbur Wright, inventor and aviator (1867–1922)

Judgment

Next to sound judgment, diamonds, and pearls are the rarest things in the world.
Jean de la Bruyere, Satiric moralist (1645-1696)

Hard Work

Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration.
Thomas A. Edison, inventor and industrialist (1863–1947)

We as lawyers are committed to bringing these qualities, and more, to every dispute, and we have found that strategy to lead to success. Our goal is to be a firm whose value is enhanced by our dedication to your actual needs, whether it is your initial matter with us or your twentieth.
